Namrata Baxi, MD
Dr. Baxi joined Associates In Kidney Disease & Hypertension in July of 2017. She is a specialist in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of a variety of kidney conditions. She is committed on delivering quality care with compassion and dedication for all patients. She is a strong advocate of patient education and enabling them to play an active role in their healthcare management and disease prevention. Kidney disease is complicated and therefore, she focuses on patient-centered education, in combination with her well-established clinical skills to navigate complex multi-faceted medical issues.
Dr. Baxi is an active medical staff member at JFK Medical Center in Edison, NJ, Overlook Medical Center in Summit, NJ and RWJ-Rahway Hospital in Rahway, NJ. In addition, she is affiliated with many hemodialysis units in the surrounding area. She is board certified in Internal Medicine & Nephrology by the American Board of Internal Medicine (AIBM). She is a member of the ASN, AMA, and NKF organizations.
Career Summary:
Dr. Baxi graduated with High Honors from Rutgers University with a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Molecular Biology & Biochemistry. She then earned her medical degree (MD) with High Honors from St. George University School of Medicine, and subsequently pursued her post-graduate residency training in Internal Medicine at Cooper Medical School of Rowan University. Following her residency training, she completed her fellowship training in Nephrology at Rutgers- Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital.
When she is not taking care of her patients, Dr. Baxi enjoys spending time with her family and friends, experimenting with cooking recipes, exploring new TV shows to stream online, traveling to new places, and playing competitive board games.
